The Virgin Tongues were an underground rock and roll band formed in Berlin by Duncan McKnight, Mike Giddens, and Nima Ashe. They were known for their raw and volatile underground shows in a scene dominated by European electronic music.
For years just a few obscure Virgin Tongues’ tracks migrated throughout the desolate underground airwaves, gasping for air at every turn and just barely clinging to life, until all went silent.
The sorrowful night the dream mutated into a nightmare and then shattered into a million little pieces — a legend was born. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, but he who arises from the ashes will live to dream another day.
All will finally rest easy knowing that The Virgin Tongues’ have released their first and final self-titled album — a raw collection of pure gold — on the independent label, Santa Rosa Records.
The Virgin Tongues’ five track album is a classic montage of irrefutable transcendence in an age infested with plastic emotion and mocking birds.
The album will be released on cassette later today and then on vinyl later this summer.
The raven draws nigh.
